One Republic

Malaysia has a unity campaign called the One Malaysia and I thought our country could use the slogan. One Philippines. Malaysia is a pacific mint of malays, chinese and indians and through the religions Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism. Despite altercations, the bottom-line is they try to make it work. I just marvel at their concrete-grouted mountain sides on the countryside highways to prevent erosion.

However they are not united in using the Islamic Law or the Shariah Law.

My point is Malaysia consists of 60% Malays, 30% Chinese, 9% Indian and the remaining one percent are foreign nationals. Malaysia is not all Muslim. Actually the Indians are the more vocal protesters and they claim that there is censorship in Malaysian TV and that political parties and their supporters convene using the youtube. To be fair, those are complaints not necessarily the truth so the Malaysian government should be transparent about this issue.

To have a truly One Malaysia is to refer to your law as the Malaysian Law derived from your constitution which is based on the Shariah. Believe it or not, it makes a whole lot of difference to Malaysian citizens of Chinese and Indian descent that they are under the Malaysian Law, not a religion.

Just the same, to have a One Philippines, we should take oath on the Philippine Law not on the Bible. The Bible should not be in the courtroom to be fair with our Muslim citizens.

I am not that familiar with Indonesia but I would think they are more or less same hierarchy as Malaysia.

When you separate religion from governance, you become more welcome of foreign philosophies like Hygge, Gemutlichkeit and Dianetics, which promotes things that are good for your well-being. Singapore impresses me as they get it.

Hygge is the cosiness of the soul from Denmark.

Germutlich is from Germany, a sense of well-being based on good food, drinks and company.

Dianetics aims to discover the freedom and joy of being your true self - achieving the ability to create fulfilling relationships, lasting happiness and living life to it's absolute fullest.

I have here a copy of The Way To Happiness, a booklet from Dianetics that I be sharing with you the summary. Sue me.
